Bowing to Lord Burton, I pulled together some kitty fabrics for a new quilt

I got these pieces from Walmart a while ago, and in truth, I’ve been itching to make a quilt with them. Just like Burton (who was likely born some time in May) these are adorable spring kittens. They are just perfect for a light and airy spring baby quilt!

It also gives me a chance to practice some more no-waste four-at-a-time geese, and this fancy new trimmer Mom gave me (she loves those gadgets!). I was mostly just cutting everything to get it ready for block assembly, but you know I couldn’t resist putting just one together right away.

And as you can see,

Burton is finally content!
Kitties!!! That was a find for sure. Our Walmart never had anything as cute as that. I’ve discovered that gadgets are more important than I ever gave them credit for-especially for trimming which I am really bad at.

That is beautiful fabric though not quite as beautiful as Burton! Love the block you made. Unfortunately, I have never seen any fabric like that in my local Walmart. You hit the jackpot.

That is really some cute fabric and the block turned out really cute. There are so many gadgets and whats-it’s out there for quilting. I walk down the aisle and don’t have a clue what most of them are! Lord Burton looks content. 🙂
