To help keep me motivated on Dad’s Birthday sweater, I’ve decided to post a weekly check-in on my progress.
So here’s the first one…

It doesn’t look much different than the last time you saw it, so I put Lemmy on it to keep the picture interesting. But despite appearances, I have made a couple inches of progress. It’s now at 15 inches from the underarms, and I need to get it to 18 before I start the ribbing… so I’m closing in on the end of the body… but those long rounds mean its a marathon, not a sprint. Hopefully by next week’s check in, I will have at least started the ribbing – finishing the ribbing by then is probably too optimistic.
Lemmy says ….. get going! Or not ……………..this is pretty comfy to lay on.

I just started the ribbing on my Gray Blob too.

Somehow it seems more difficult to complete long rounds on a solid blob than if there were some inteteresting colors involved. Good luck!!

It’s coming along, but I don’t think Lemmy will want to give up that extra cushion. I’m with Vera, I think color always adds to the interest when knitting something like this. I remember Dennis and Alex’s sweaters and it seemed I would never finish.

The weekly accountability should keep you motivated. Love the bedding you made for the bassinette. The fabric you created was awesome even if the quality was not what you were expecting. You found the perfect project for it to be used in.
