Despite having a long weekend… I did not finish #17. This is for two reasons:
- I spent about 80% of the weekend in the garden. I got up early each day and headed right out. I worked and worked and worked until noon when it got too hot and humid to be out there. Then I came in to the A/C and sewed in the afternoons. Then I made dinner, and headed back out to the garden until dark. There just wasn’t much time for stitching before bedtime.
- There are A LOT of French knots on this one! And boy do they take time!
So… making progress. Just slowly.
It is looking great.
Stitching will wait. Gardens will not.
There will be plenty of days when you can be inside and stitch. Enjoy the garden while you can.

Soon you will have a rainy day and then you can stitch, those French knots are very pretty!

So pretty! I’m not finding much stitching time right now either even though I’m stuck inside with the AC.

I set my alarm for 5 am to get out for a ‘hood walk before the heat and sun, and try again after sunset; it’s blistering!

The stitchery is beautiful. The garden won’t wait so of course that has to come first. Be careful with the heat and drink lots of water.
