Last week, Mom and I were meeting up for lunch. She was running a bit late, so I popped into a local thrift store and…

I found just the cutest Hello Kitty bag for just $3. I had exactly $3 in my change purse, so it was obviously meant to be.

I thought it would be just perfect for a large project bag, so it’s now holding the hibernating Empire Line cardigan. It will keep it safe and clean until I can get back to it.
I love Hello Kitty.

Looks like a nice project bag. Hello Kitty was introduced in Japan when I was there in 1979-80. Since then, she has gained popularity In the US.

I never check Thrift Shops but see so many people score awesome yarn and fabric there. Must find the local ones.

Mom has gotten some amazing fabric scores at her local thrift store. The last one was 8 yards of a beatiful golden brown floral for $2. Perfect for quilt backing!
