Doored

I said we were taking the winter off from house projects, but Dave has other ideas.

On the weekend, my kitchen and dining room looked like this:

While Dave was at his Grandma’s, I was painting a small fortune in plywood, so that when he returned he could transform my garden shed from this:

To this:

We don’t know what happened to the shed door, and part of the wall, but they were missing when we bought the house. Dave wanted to get it closed up before the weather got too bad and the shed ended up full of snow.

Come spring, we’ll paint the whole shed up, so it will look all bright and shiny and new.

It looks great! We need to replace the doors and a few walls on our shed too but it’s waaaaay down the list. I don’t think we have to worry about the snow flying around here. We already had our first false alarm yesterday. I have got to learn not to have hope when it comes to the white stuff. I get so disappointed when it doesn’t show up after all the hype.

  2. That looks great Val! I know what you mean about the plywood costs. I can’t believe how much wood costs right now. Meanwhile, your shed is great. We sure loved the one we had built in Spokane and were really glad that this house came with one too.

What a great project to have completed! The shed looks totally revived and I am sure it will be worth the investment in lumber to have it weatherproof.
