Not a lot of stitching was accomplished this weekend…

But I did finish my chicken. There’s more stitching to come on this one, so hang in there.
And to answer the question about how I’m stitching on the potholder…

I turn it on it’s side, so the opening is to the left so I can hold it open a bit. And then I stitch into the stitch, and out to the new stitch at the same time. It takes a little getting used to, but it’s proving quite efficient for me.

And Lemmy demands more stitching time, because he wants more lap time!!!
Looking good! That’s how I stitch all the time – like sewing – for me it goes much faster.

Lemmy looks like he is laughing at you.
I’ve made a few of those potholders. It’s a bit fiddly, but still fun.

That answers a big mystery for me. I’ve seen things like that for sale to stitch on but never knew how you’d actually do it.

That’s a great way to stitch on it. My questions is always…how do you make the backs neat enough on those ready made bibs and blankets that you cross stitch on? I’m not neat enough to have it exposed for all to see.

I love to see your stitching! I got some of my started projects out but sadly didn’t stick with them. My knitting was calling, I guess.
