Friday felines

After reading my post on Burton’s ‘thrones” earlier this week, I’m sure a few of you think I’m a little silly. I mean, why buy furniture for the cats. We all know ALL the furniture already belongs to the cats

And that’s certainly true in this house!

These guys have enjoyed the sun porch furniture far more than I’ve had the opportunity to do this year.

Even the furniture that’s supposed to be off limits isn’t

Though these two inform me that they are not on the dining room table, they are on the chair pads that I left on the table after washing them.

Of course, this behaviour is not at all surprising to me. They are cats afterall. What is surprising is that Dave is ok with it. Because he never used to be!!!

Though he says once he refinishes the table, and it goes into operation as a proper dining room table (right now it’s mostly storage for transient items), it will once again become a no-go zone for felines. We’ll see how well that works out…

    I love that you buy furniture for your cats! We have FOUR cat stands around our house.😆 Not as nice looking as your cat furniture but Miss Kitty does use them. As Miss Kitty was a stray we had no idea how she would be in the house. She is the best mannered of all our cats only occasionally jumping up on the kitchen table if one of the chairs happens to be out. Our other cats considered the whole house theirs and jumped up everywhere……kitchen counters, bathroom counters, where ever they wanted. Enjoy your Friday.❤️

  2. I want to see how well that works out for Dave and how he’s going to convince the kids to stay off of the table! I really love all of these photos. You can just see how content and loved your babies are. What’s the point in having pets if you can’t spoil them and make them happy. Zoey gets just about anything she wants when she looks at us and tilts her head to the side. So cute! I would love to snuggle with your kitties. I so miss having a cat. If Miss Piper weren’t so allergic, we would definitely have one or two.

    That’s one pretty kitty quilt! I have a roll of that spiky plastic floor runner that I turn spike side up and put where I don’t want the kitties to sit. They have a fortune in cat beds and furniture they are allowed on but I have to have an allergy free place to sit. Fair is fair…lol.

  6. Good luck with that idea! lol I don’t mind cats on my table but it bugs Bill. They stay on the table with me around but if they hear his voice they scamper off! It is very funny bc he never says anything to them except their names!
