It’s well into November (how did THAT happen???) and Burton is in the need of a November quilt.
On the weekend, we went online to get some inspiration (poppies seemed an appropriate choice), then got to work making some blocks

The great thing about Burton’s chaise quilts are they are small – they go together so quick

This one is actually a little larger (36″ square), but it was still put together in an afternoon. Hopefully we can get it sandwiched, quilted and bound this weekend.

What a spoiled critter! He looks like he is talking in all of the photos. That really is a pretty quilt Valerie!

Burton looks like he was giving you advice about the quilt throughout the process. It will be a pretty quilt for him. Spoiled boy.

So sweet! We used to give the school kids poppies in November. The ladies auxiliary would bring us baskets of them for Veteran’s Day. I still have the baskets. They make great project baskets.

I always bought a poppy and wore it on my coat or purse in November. They are hard to find anymore. Burton’s quilt is perfect for November.

That is such a beautiful quilt! Love the poppy blocks and the alternate blocks are just perfect. Since it’s a small quilt, it should be a fun one to quilt.
