This weekend was not the productive weekend I was hoping for. I wasn’t exactly sick… I just felt off all weekend, making it hard to accomplish much of anything. There were a couple naps, some long reading sessions, some knitting, and very little sewing.
All I managed to sew this weekend was five more placemat tops for Christmas dinner.

Like the first five, I kept the design simple and let the fabric shine.

I think they look quite nice together. I was hoping to quilt them all this weekend, but two things stopped me. 1) I just didn’t have the energy, and 2) I really want to quilt them with diagonal lines… but I need a washable fabric marker to mark the lines – I’ve tried to do it free hand before and it just looks like I was sewing drunk.
So.. maybe next weekend. I’ve got as few weeks before I Christmas dinner, at least.
Hope you feel better this morning Valerie!❤️

Very cute! Hope you are feeling better. I hate those “feeling off” days, where nothing is specifically wrong, rather you just don’t feel like yourself. Hoping your Monday is an easy one.

They’re great! You find the best fabric. I sure hope you’re feeling better. I can’t believe how miserable I was last week and woke up completely well on Friday. Crazy!
Blessings and hugs,

Oh, all of your fibery goodness is enticing!! But I need to resist buying more fabric! I do love those mushrooms. And the boys are ever the cutest and entertaining. Good luck on finishing the sleeve, I know you will get it done.

I use masking tape to quilt straight lines. Just stick it on top of the project, sew next to the tape, then remove once done. It’s really the only kind of quilting I do. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
