Those of you who have been around for a while know that I’m really good at organizing my space… I’m just not so good at keeping it that way….
This was how it looked after I finished putting the last round on the SAHRR quilt. You can’t see the stuff piled up to the right of the sewing machine, or all the fabric blocking access to the closet (also to the right)
I really needed to get things squared away. A couple hours later….
It’s still a little cluttered, but the piles on the table beside the machine are gone. And I can get to the closet. The real problem is I just have too much fabric. I really need to make more quilts!
And while I’m happy to have a little more room to breathe in here… I’m also a little worried. In a few months, I have to find some space in here for my office computer, when we start renos on my office. It’s going to be a tight squeeze!
Wandering Cat Studio 
That’s the hardest part of re-doing a room–moving everything out and finding a place for it all while you work!!!! Yuck! Nice job on spiffing up the studio!

It looks great! Your stash is enviable. I keep straightening up my work spaces and I swear a little gremlin comes in and drops piles of stuff all over the place as soon as I am done. From the soap room to the sewing room, this place is always a mess. I keep blaming it on my small rooms but I’m pretty sure if I had bigger rooms I would just have a bigger mess.

Your sewing room looks like a happy place! I think it’s always a challenge to merge two areas even if it’s only temporary. By the time that happens, you will probably be spending much of your time working outside and sewing will take a backseat.

Nice job of tidying your sewing area. Mine could stand a few hours of my time: it’s been too handy to pile things on the pressing board and close the door.

I went to sew at a local shop because didn’t want to have to move piles to get to my cutting table! OK, so maybe not entirely true, but I still have been shifting piles a little too much lately. LOL
