Tiny Needle Tuesday

You saw a little sneak peek of my stitching yesterday, but it wasn’t quite all of it…

…. as I was able to finish the butterfly. It’s not a perfect gradient, but I think it works pretty well. I’m trying to make these only from my floss stash, so I’m working with what I have.

Up next, I have to pick out some complimenting greens for the leaves and flowers that surround it. But that’s a task for next weekend. Right now, the gardens are calling.

  1. A bit off topic, but in the last few days, I’ve seen two butterflies in the wild, and it’s so uplifting!

Both were Mourning Cloak butterflies, which I wouldn’t have known if a fellow wanderer on the park path hadn’t clued me in.

    Cool!

  2. Oh my, that is so pretty! Silly me succumbed to my lesser instincts and bought more plants for the deer to eat yesterday. I actually bought a rose bush too hoping they won’t eat that.

That is so pretty Val! It’s stunning just as it is, but I know the leaves and flowers will even add to it.

    Blessings,
