If the hot and sometimes wet weather has been good for the flowers, you can bet it’s been great for the edibles.

Strawberry season is in full swing and I’m getting a good handful to munch on every day.

I should have some raspberries to enjoy in short order too!

Of the Cucurbits, the Zucchini is probably growing the fastest.

Though the squash isn’t very far behind.

I’ve got to get the strings up so the peas have something to cling to.

My potatoes are getting flowers (though I didn’t realize this is something they did!)

As are the cherry tomatoes.

The carrots are just starting to sprout.

And it looks like the tips of my garlic are starting to brown – so I might just be reaping the rewards of that harvest soon! I can’t wait!
Oooh those strawberries look good enough to eat! Ha! The garden is coming along great and I think you’re going to have a bountiful harvest this year. Yum!
Blessings,
Betsy

I always wondered how you know garlic is ready. Now I know. LOL

I grew potatoes at my old house one year and I swear I have never tasted anything so delicious in my life. Store potatoes are not on the same planet as home grown. I had no idea.

Yum!
We don’t have anything edible growing, but our neighbor has a cherry tree that The Hubby managed to snag a bowlful of.
Next, we’ll be picking mulberries at random trees through our ‘hood.
YUM!
