Bee finished

With the help of the boys, I got those upside down bees flying the right way.

It really didn’t take too long, but it did require a clear head. So I’m glad I’d set the task aside for another day. With the bees back in line, I only had one seam left to sew. I could have left it that way – it was already a good-sized quilt, but I wanted to add a border.

I look at it this way. The pattern part of your quilt is the “artwork” the border is the “matte” and the binding is the “frame”.

With the border, this one finished up at 63″ x 81″. I’ve got the most gorgeous fabric for the back…

I’ve got more of the honeycomb yellow for the binding. I’m not sure when I’ll get up to Mom’s to quilt it. I’d like to finish at least one more quilt before I make the trip. I’ve got one fairly close to finishing -but its been a pretty busy January so far. I’m not making any predictions on my time!

Those boys seem to be hard taskmasters! 🙂 So sweet though. I do like this quilt. Anything with bees is usually cute to me, and this has them front AND back. Lovely.

    Blessings and hugs,
