To the toe

Working my way down the foot of the pink socks, I was really regretting my decision to rib it the whole way…

But I persevered and the first sock is done. As much as it can be a slog, the ribbing is worth it. It makes for a wonderfully fitting sock.

I’m also pleased with my decision to use the mini-skein for the heel and toe. It just adds a little something to this simple sock, don’t you think?

I hate doing ribbing too but it does the job and looks great. I just ordered some 8 ply sock yarn so I’ll probably be ribbing along with you soon.

I really like the color of these ones you just finished and the contrast really makes the socks look great.

I knit all the socks I make with 2 X 2 ribbing all the way down the leg and the foot all the way in stockinette. I don’t even mind the ribbing any more. It’s worth it to know that all the socks I knit for me (and for a bunch of other people who ask for them) are going to fit!

These are such pretty colors together. I’ll have to look at a past post to find the colors and yarn brand. Ribbing is always a good idea. I think I’m going to start doing more of it myself since it makes a better fit.

    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
