I don’t have a tonne of Christmas knitting planned for this year – but I do have a couple hats I want to knit. In fact, I’ve had the yarn for several years now, I’ve just never got around to knitting them.

I’ve been working pretty steadily on the first one all week – but I still don’t have much exciting to show. I’ve gotten through the ribbing, and some plain knitting, but just two rows of the colour work. The pattern – when I get through more of it – will be the Deathflake motif. It’s one of my favourite patterns to put on hats!
I’m hoping I can get through this one by the end of this week. Now that i’m on the colourwork, it should go fairly quick.
Thanks for putting in that link ! I hadn’t seen that motif before and surely now some people who would like it on their hat or socks 🙂

Hats do seem to go on forever but you’ve got a good start on that one. I ordered some custom dyed yarn for a hat for myself but it’s taking its sweet time getting here.

Oh you! Don’t you do it! Don’t you make me go search in my yarn for stuff to do this chart!!! I am too busy for knitting right now. But when the weather turns cold my hands start itching to make color work hats!!! Can’t wait to see it come alive.
