Finally… my office is officially done! As in, everything is moved back in! It took me a day and a half to get everything moved and reorganized. But it gave me a chance to go through everything, thrift things I don’t need any more, and get all the pictures etc up on the walls.

My bookshelves are all nice and organized with rooms for my dragon stuffy collection (mostly squishmallows but a few others) and Wednesday doll collection.
This shelf is new, and the fabric totes organize (and hide) office supplies like printer paper, shipping supplies and wrapping materials.

It also gave me a nice space to showcase the beautiful glass bonsai I got for a steal at the thrift store several months back. (If you follow this online, you know they can go for silly prices). It was also the perfect place for Sir Furbsalot’s thrifted portrait.

These plants were up here in front of the window before we renoed the room so it’s nice to see them back there. I’ve had the curtains for ages, just waiting to have the perfect green walls to highlight their beauty.

The Butterflies are real specimens Mom and I found at a festival about 20 years ago. She had plans to put them up in her bathroom, but changed her mind and last year asked if I wanted them. They were perfect for the vibe I wanted for the room so of course I said yes. I think they frame the window nicely!

And of course, there’s quilts in here! Mainly because I have SO many I have to put them somewhere – but they do look nice!

It’s so nice to see the closet framed and looking so clean and white. And above it was the perfect place for my stitched critters

There’s another small bookshelf tucked in the corner, and it was the perfect place for one of my thrifted cat lamps.

I don’t like having the overhead light on, so it’s nice to have this one in there. (The second one is sitting on my desk). I’m not sure if my dragon skull will stay beside it, but it’s there until I find a better spot.
And on the final wall, behind my desk

We picked up the little wide rack from a thrift store a couple weeks ago. Dave painted it white for me. As you can see, it’s got little hooks – which is why I bought it. I thought it was just perfect for hanging small plants. (I’m thinking it might have been intended as a kitchen pot hanger or something.)
I am waiting on some brass figurines, which have been ordered to fill the cat head shelf.
And last… the door

My daily reminder, and a thrifted toy rifle we picked up ages ago. It’s wooden and completely handmade. It has a little crank that clinks when you turn it and it just made my smile so much, I had to buy it. I don’t get to the range to play with my real rifle very often – but I think this one looks nice on the wall!
We started this reno in mid-August so just under two months to complete! Not bad considering it required an entire wall teardown, as well as new drywall for half the room.
Up next is Dave’s workout room. It should be easier (and ideally quicker). We don’t need to reconfigure any wall, or put up any new drywall. We will be wallpapering one accent wall – so that will be a new adventure! Stay tuned!
