We wondered if Burton’s interest in playing fetch would wane as he outgrew kittenhood. But here we are a year and a half in…
… and the game just never stops!
Sometimes he even plays by himself, by sitting at the top of the stairs, dropping the ball, then chasing it to the bottom, picking it up, running back up the stairs and doing it all again.
Adorable!
I love to see kitties play. Our ferals don’t really get the idea of play. The newest one, who is a stray-not feral, was playing last night with a piece of celery on the floor. I watched in amazement since I haven’t seen that in so long.

He is one SMART kitty!
While I notice that Giroux sleeps more than he did when he was younger, he still plays pretty hard a couple of times a day. But, he stinks at Fetch!

Smart cats need to have things to stimulate them–he is a great example of that!
Beautiful guy that he is!

That is so cute. True for Fezzik with milk rings. He was playing with one by himself last night. He was so cute. We adore our cats don’t we?

Wow, you’ve got yourself a retriever cat. And a black retriever at that. Some cats love to play fetch! Michelle in Wellington. NZ.

Smart kitty!
My daughter has a cat who loves to play fetch, but he’s only good for about four rounds before he returns without the object and then waits expectantly for you to throw it again anyway.
