Naw, every cat wants to climb…it’s in their DNA!
Gotta go up to find birds nests, and to use the height for territorial monitoring.
Plus, they’ve got to sharpen their claws on bark.
Well, this is what Da Boyz tell me, when they are giving me the big eyes, hoping I’ll let them out.

I had that happen once with Daughter’s cat. I was kitty sitting her here and I put her on her harness and took her out and the first thing she did was head up a tree. I was in a panic because my trees are huge. Luckily I convinced her to come down and I never took her out on a leash again. I bought a mesh kitty tube that she could roll around the backyard in instead because she loved going out.

He’s trying to get away but he’s not getting very far on his string is he? Such a sweetie and much fluffier than any old squirrel.
Blessings,
