FO: Bumbleberry Sampler

One last FO for the week…

But I can only take credit for the piecing of this one. Mom deserves most of the praise for all the fancy work she did in quilting it.

Her classes have definitely been paying off. Just look at this amazing stitch work…

After all that the cheery pink fabric I chose for the back is kind of dull and boring in comparison

My plan was to put it in the shop…. but I don’t think I can part with it.

I don’t think Burton can either!

  1. Gorgeous! Your Mom has quite the eye for where to stitch what! So many different patterns. It really turned out beautifully. I wouldn’t be able to part with it either.

  2. Well, the last photo seals it. The quilt must stay.

Your Mom did an amazing job with the quilting. I love how each square is quilted with a different motif.

What an awesome quilt! It was beautiful but the quilting just made it awesome. Your Mom is quite the quilter. Love how she custom quilted each block to enhance its design. What a sweet cat/quilt photo at the end.

  4. Ooooooooooooh!!! You can NEVER part with that work of art. I was thinking of how much I liked the piecework with the first photo and then you showed the close-ups. Oh my goodness. Your Mom is an artist. That stitchwork is amazing. Burton knows it too. I’m SO glad you’re keeping this one. No amount of money would be worth parting with it. Please tell your Mom we think she’s wonderful.
    Blessings,

  5. Awww, Burton looks so comfy! I just love the texturing in that quilt. I don’t quilt, and this stitching looks very intricate and complicated to me. It really looks like it’s done by a pro! Very nice!
