Work is progressing on the Silla Cardigan.
The pattern is top down, and it has you work the sleeves before you work the body – which is a first for me. I’m used to working the body first.
As you can see, I’m making decent progress. I probably should be a little further along, but had to order some 7mm dpns for the sleeves. Of course that means I had to order some yarn to come along for the “free shipping” ride.
It’s just some Kroy (FX and Stripes) that was on clearance. It’s hard to pass up sock yarn when it’s less than $12 a pair!

Such a pretty green!
The sweater looks great and it’s such a pretty, “springy” green. Of course you had to order yarn. I don’t think any knitter would even begin to question that! 🙂
So pretty – love that lime green shade. NIce win on the sock yarn too!!
The nice thing about working the sleeves before the body is that it will be ready to wear when you finish the body! I can’t resist a good deal on sock yarn.
I just love the color of that yarn!
I prefer sleeves first, that way I don’t have to wrangle the entire body while spinning the sleeves.
Making sleeves first is a good idea! The cardigan is moving right along!
