Happy November! Today I bring you flowers to brighten your day.
Yes. Flowers.
In November.
I’ve shown you my reblooming iris before, but I confess, it’s still strange to me to see irises blooming in November.
I don’t manage to get many blooms on it before it gets too cold, but it’s still wild that these irises exist in the first place. I definitely need more colours!
We have had some very cold nights, but no hard frost yet. As a result, the Toad Lilies are still living it up!

I can’t wait to see what they do next year with an uninterrupted growing season.
Most of the mums are done now, but there’s still a bloom or two limping along.
There are some buds on the roses, but I don’t think they will get a chance to bloom. That frost has to be just around the corner.
So, I expect this will be the last garden post until next year. Despite the disruption of the move, it’s been another wonderful growing season!
Beautiful flowers. I love those toad lilies.
We are expecting a frost tonight.

Those iris are amazing for sure! But the Toad Lilies may be one of my favorites – love them! We have a frost warning/watch for tonight.

Such pretty blooms! It got cold last night so I am wondering how all the blooms that we still have are doing today. It’s been like one long summer but I think that stops today. I’ve got to go bring in my one lone houseplant I forgot that I hope survived the night.

That’s crazy to have iris in November. We have frost all over the ground again today so no flowers. I’m looking forward to your blooms next year.
Blessings,
Betsy

Iris and Lilacs are two of my favorite flowers. I think I like them so much because the blooms are so short lived.

Your plants have done spectacularly well with the hot weather and being transplanted. Sure next year they will outdo themselves with blooms. No frost/freeze here yet and it has been a beautiful fall.

The seed heads and colored leaves of garden plants are beautiful too, this time of year.
