Knit Year in Review 2021

There’s no doubt about it, 2021 was the year of the sock for me…

In the past year, I completed 26 knitted projects, 15 of which were socks (three aren’t pictured above).

It will be no surprise to any of you but the move and renovations greatly affected the knitting output. Generally, I complete an average 35 knit projects each year, but this year was down significantly. And most of the things I completed were relatively simple. I just wasn’t up to anything complicated with everything else going on.

Still, all things considered, it was a pretty respectable output for the year. And now that things have settled back into a routine, I’m sure 2022 will be more productive, and maybe even a little more varied.

Same here. I managed a lot of socks because they are my go to for stress knitting. We are still fighting the battle of the kitchen with no stove. No one wants to give us another one and the new one can’t be used. Makes me worry about getting a new refrigerator now. I swear it’s always something. Nothing come easy anymore.

  2. I think you did well to complete as many things as you did! You and Dave have worked non=stop on the house and have made fabulous progress. I would have been way too tired to lift a needle at all. Plus…you made a ton of quilts!!

How impressive! How beautiful! It is amazing that you accomplished so much knitting in addition to all the quilts you have made. Then factor in packing, moving and renovating and you have completed an awesome amount of projects in 2021.

That’s a whole lot of pretty socks! Are any of them your patterns? I feel good having just completed 6 gnomes. Still working on a special sock……
