Although garden seasons is AGES away, I had to bring a little spring home with me on grocery day.

They had a pile of beautiful potted hyacinths in bloom. I had a hard time choosing, but in the end I went with this lovely pink one.
And oh how I wish you could smell it through the computers. It’s so strong. I come down every morning and the kitchen is just filled with its perfume. It’s incredible!
Because it’s potted, I can pop the bulbs in the ground and enjoy it outside for many, many years to come!
My other garden endeavors aren’t quite as good.

My little sunflowers haven’t really grown, and the biggest one has yellowing leaves and is leaning over. I’ll keep nursing them until they give up completely, but at this point, I’m not sure they will make it.
My ranunculus wasn’t showing any signs of life yet either and I was getting worried. But last night I was watering the plants and look…

… teeny tiny sprouts!!!!
And there is one last bit of spring to share. Although I absolutely do not need another dress, I couldn’t resist this gorgeous burst of life from Old Navy.

Just look at all that flowery goodness! I can’t wait to wear it in my garden all spring and summer!
Oh, that dress makes me happy! I just woke up to another big snow and I can’t wait for spring. I used to love winter but with the Covid isolation winter is not nearly as fun as it used to be.
I love the smell of hyacinths too but I don’t think I’ve seen one in ages. Every spring I swear I am going to plant more bulbs and every winter I remember that I forgot.

I bought a French looking box full of blooming hyacinths two years ago. I planted the bulbs and got …………one. It was the most anemic looking plant ever.
Might still get one to brighten up the kitchen though. They sure are pretty.

You have a “green thumb” and I know you’ll make those baby seeds grow! Between me and the cats I just can’t grow anything in the house. When Ozzy was young he chewed on my live pothos plant and killed it! I had that plant for years before he murdered it. How do you keep your cats from chewing on them? Yesterday I picked up a fake ivy plant from Goodwill. At least the cats will leave that alone, I think!!!

I haven’t seen anyone my age wearing a dress in years, but I refuse to give them up. I occasionally wear one in the summer. My amaryllis is putting on quite a show: it has eight glorious blooms!

I love the hyacinths, too! I can just imagine your perfumed kitchen! The dress is very pretty! Do you have a short-sleeved cardi to wear with it?!

I think winter is over for you. With the hyacinths smelling everything up so nicely and the gorgeous springy/summery dress, you’re ready! I am too. I wore a sundress to day. (With a cardigan). It was 59F and I loved every moment of it.
Blessings and hugs,
