More progress was made on the sewing cat cross stitch, despite a certain someone’s best efforts.

The catio was closed off to them for construction (more on that soon) for a good chunk of the weekend, so he was being extra needy every time I sat down. I’m more than happy to have him chill in my lap while I stitch, but he likes to grab at the needle and thread as it comes through on the back side. It makes for some slow stitching.
Still…

I was able to fill in some more of the background and some more of the iron work of the desk. I’d say this is probably a little less than half done. Not back for only working on it a few evenings each week.
That is coming along so nicely. It’s going to be a work of art when completed. It reminds me so much of a simpler and kinder time period.
Blessings,
Betsy

I love how the iron work is stitching up.
My mom had a treadle sewing machine when I was little. I was always fascinated by the decorative iron work and the iron treadle.

Such a pretty sampler and you are making really nice progress. It’s hard to do much with a “helper” and there are lots of color changes too. I can’t wait to hear about the “construction!”

Make sure to weave in a few of Lord Burton’s hairs; an added bonus!

It’s looking great! What is it with kitties and needles? I have to hide my pincushions are my cats will pull out every needle and throw them on the floor.

I am surprised at how much progress you are making on your stitching since you have accomplished so much in the gardens. That stitchery is going to be so pretty!

You have been doing all kinds of things! Love your layout for the star blocks, I can even see a small star in your setting triangles, like the center of the blocks.
