What a difference a day can make. All those flower pictures I showed you on Saturday were taken on Friday. Overnight the temps dropped and by Saturday afternoon.

The weatherman had been calling for rain, but the temperature dropped more than they said, and it came down as snow. Wet, heavy snow. It snowed all Saturday afternoon.
As much as I love my flowers, I do love a good snow. The world is so pretty when the snow is fresh and new, so I took a walk.

Here’s a little side-by-side – Friday to Saturday.

It was a little odd seeing winter all over what was left of fall, but…

Those who put up their Christmas decorations early looked much less out of place!

Snow or no snow, holly is the only Christmas decoration you’ll see at my house at least until December 1st.
WOW!!!! What a difference! It finally got cold here-too darn cold, too fast. Mother Nature isn’t fooling around this year. I’ve got red berries on my holly this year. Not many but there are some.

Beautiful pictures. I, too, love a good snow when it is new and pretty. Once the cars start driving and soot is verywhere it just drives me nuts!! Love the holly.

We had snow overnight, but by the time it was light enough to take some garden photos, it had all melted!
If only it would do this all Winter…

Everything looks so pretty with a fresh coat of snow.
We drove through a sleet squall yesterday not too far from us. At our house it stayed as rain (I think … it was mostly overnight), but it sure did come down hard. It SOUNDED like ice hitting the windows.

The snow that fell a couple of weeks ago is long gone, but it’s been bitter cold this week with more promises. The holly bush is gorgeous in contrast to the snow.

Beautiful photos. I love your holly with the snow on it. Just a perfect Christmas decoration. That’s my kind of snow with the sidewalks and roads clear.

We got snow too, and Saturday was our quilt show so we feared people would stay home. But no, those quilters came out! LOL What does Relic think about the snow?

That is such a beautiful holly bush with the white snow in contrast. What a difference a day makes indeed! We have had flurries all week that didn’t amount to anything at all but this morning what was flurries at the apartment was about 1 inch across town where we needed to be. What a surprise. It’s a good thing I put shoes on for the first time this morning! I’ve been wearing my flip-flops in protest of the colder weather. 🙂
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
