Mom has definitely gotten the hang of the longarm. She had the Superstar quilt back to me in no time! In fact, she had it completely quilted in one day! I did a marathon binding session over the weekend and here she is in all her glory.
I think this is my best quilt so far. Almost all the intersections match perfectly. And even the corner stones on the last border look like I planned them all along!
We’ve been extremely lucky in those clearance bin finds. On a trip a few months back, Mom and I found a huge chunk of this pretty black and grey floral. I knew instantly it would be perfect for this quilt.
Now this one will be packed away for gifting. Though I am a little tempted to keep her for myself.
Beautiful! And your intersections match perfectly? I can only dream!

It’s really gorgeous!!! I wish I had room for a long arm. I’d love to be able to get the quilting part over that fast.

It is Fabulous!! I would be tempted to just keep it!! And as to the baby sweater, I agree, knit what you want. Maybe it’s time to have a talk with the Fair people about the judges. Is it the same person winning the category every year with the same pattern? Ridiculous!

Absolutely nothing wrong with keeping it yourself! 8)
And don’t you just love it when the perfect thing just happens to be on sale? That’s the best possible backing for your quilt!

The Superstar quilt is absolutely beautiful! Love your fabrics, how you worked out the border and cornerstones. The backing fabric is wonderful. I doubt that I could gift this one. It seems to have your name on it.
