Happy Valentine’s! It’s cold and snowy here (we got a good dumping on Friday and Saturday), so we’re staying warm and cuddled up inside. And really, can you think of a better way to spend Valentine’s day?
Relic… I said INSIDE!!! The snow is not going to go away just because you wanted Spring for Valentine’s day! And it’s not going to go away no matter how many times you go back outside just to check.
You’ll be happy to know that I did find my knitting mojo and finished Dave’s socks in plenty of time.
That and a pile of candy made up his gift. We’ve never gone crazy for Valentines, much preferring small gestures. We generally don’t even go out for dinner (too busy, too expensive). But we decided this year, we’ll splurge and order in.
We hope your day is sweet too!

I love a snowy Valentine’s Day! I can relate to kitty’s dilemma. I have the same with one of ours who spends all day at the door yowling to go out only to discover it’s wet and cold and then wants to come right back in. It was funny watching him discover the icy deck yesterday. I don’t think he could believe what he was seeing. It looked wet but it was really slippery. He had the good sense to give it up-at least until sunset and then he started all over again.
Snow outside, Cleo inside. Yep, that’s just the way I prefer it. Happy Valentine’s Day! Mom and dad never do the dinner/flowers/chocolate thing, though dad does do the chocolate thing now and then. Mom yells at him, but then of course she gladly devours it. Go figure…
Relic’s face says it all!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and Dave.
Happy Valentines t o you!!! we also, give small gesture gifts, it makes it fun.
Fezzik went out on the screened porch for no more than 4 minutes and wanted back in. Its 1 degree F out.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Love the photo of Relic in the great outdoors. I have already baked brownies this morning. Seemed like a good idea for Valentine’s day.
I’m glad you finished the sock- in time! Looks like a great day inside; if only Relic will catch onto the idea! lol
Snow sounds perfect for Valentines Day. Stay warm.
Congrats on finishing the sock. We rarely, if ever exchange gifts for any holidays. He pretty much will give me anything in his power to give me everyday! We did that love language test thingy years ago and neither of us had “gifts” as our love language. We’re just trying to stay warm in this lovely weather. Our water froze on Thursday night and it’s suprising how much effort that takes to just haul water from other sources to survive. We’ve been showering at Dennis’s office. Very grateful for that.
The Hubby made my favourite spicy roasted artichoke heart and mushroom pasta dish for dinner…yum!
I ordered a handmade item from Etsy for him, but it’s not arriving until next week. Oh well!
