Last week was a rough week, workwise. My job is deadline driven, but it relies on people to get me information in time to meet said deadlines. Last week, those people were dropping the ball on those deadlines, leaving me to scramble and make sure we got work done on time.
Most weeks aren’t like that, so I can handle the occasional bad one. But by the time it was over, I just wanted a short, simple sewing sewing to help me decompress.
Unfortunately, most of my projects are at the top assembly stage. Nothing short of simple about that. Luckily, I had just one that was still at the block building stage. My colourful pinwheels. And with everything cut and ready to go, it was nice and simple.
With in an hour, I had six more to add to my collection

I laid them out with the others, and it gives me 16 in total so far.

So colourful. They were just the thing to lighten my mood.
Oh, I’m sorry you had one of “those” weeks. I remember them well from my working days. The pinwheels turned out beautifully though. Just the thing to keep you occupied but not a lot of stress.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

It’s nice to have a simple project to fall back on when thinks get rough. For me it’s still socks, socks, socks, I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t have a pair of vanillas on the needles.

Sorry your week was rough. Depending on others can be trying (don’t ask me how I know!). Your pinwheels are so fun – glad you had them to occupy some time – good therapy!

UGH! I hate when people don’t hold up their end at work.
But it looks like the pinwheel quilt benefited from that.

Arghhh! Nothing worse than trying to get others to hit their deadlines so you can hit yours!!!!
I’m glad you could enjoy some good piecing to clear your head–the colors are great therapy!

Deadlines?! You mean deadlines are important? I remember stressing to my journalism students that missing a deadline snowballs and eventually delays the printing of the yearbook. Eventually they understood, but it was a sloooow educational process.
Love your cheerful pinwheels.
