Since we moved, Dave has almost stopped driving. He’ll drive if he has to, but after 15+ years of daily commuting over a long distance in a very busy metropolitan area, he’s more than content to let me drive.
I don’t mind being the driver, but it does mean I don’t get to do much travel knitting anymore.
But the other day, I took him to a doctor appointment, and had to wait! Perfect time to dust off an old sock project.

Remember these???? I started them back in May of last year! I got past the heel and then they got tucked away. I didn’t forget about them, but I just never got around to picking them up!
Dave’s appointment wasn’t terribly long, so I only got an inch or two done. Hopefully, I can keep these top of mind and it won’t take me another 9 months to knit another inch on them.
You’re down to the easiest part. It shouldn’t take long now.

That sock is too pretty to let it lie dormant! What is the yarn?

Keep the project bag in the vehicle and you’ll be surprised how often you’ll pick it up and knit a bit.

I love that Static colorway. The Mister just asked me why I always pick up my knitting even when we just drive a few minutes down to the bay. I told him even one round is something when it’s hard to find the time to sit down and knit.

This is why I travel with books; any spare moment can mean another chapter read.

Actually, I remember you starting on those socks because the yarn/color is my favorite. So perfect for wearing with jeans.
