This week’s prompt is wonky stars… and while I’m very excited to finally be making stars for this quilt (as you know, stars are my FAVOURITE!), I’m in a bit of a conundrum.
This is where we last saw the quilt…

It’s 54″ wide (and tall) right now. So here’s my conundrum. Do I keep going around and make it wider and taller, or do I only add to the top and bottom? Or just the top, and save the bottom for next week!
So… I’ve decided to not decide. As least until next week.
I’m going to wait to see what next week’s prompt is, and decide if I’ll work the two together, or apart.
In the meantime, I thought I’d share Mom’s Round Robin quilt so far. She’s been sewing along too, she just doesn’t blog any more so it’s up to me to show it off!

So different from mine! I love all her scrappy colours. And those “migrating geese“! I’m going to have to try some of those. And lets not forget those sweet hearts in the corners.

I haven’t done much applique… but maybe I should start!
And then she added her wonky stars…

Fabulous!
Could you please post directions or where to get them for the migrating geese? Never saw that before and I really like it. Thanks

You and your mom are such good quilters. I’ll never be able to make a quilt with so much precision. Both of them are gorgeous!

Last year I just put my stars at the top and bottom, that’s when I called it quits! It was already huge, I didn’t need it any bigger. And it’s sitting right next to me on the couch. It’s our snuggle on the couch quilt. Love yours, and your mom’s is awesome too!

Both of the quilts are just beautiful! It is so amazing to see the differences and a great example of how color/fabric can change the appearance. I love those migrating geese and have never made any. I sort of forget about them but have bookmarked the instructions. I like you idea of waiting for the next round to decide how you are going to proceed.

Oh my! I thought your quilt was perfect. Then I saw your Mom’s and thought it was perfect! They both are! You two are amazingly talented quilters. I don’t believe I have ever seen migrating geese before but I really like them. So cool. It’s amazing how different fabrics change a quilt completely. Thank you for sharing both of them.
Blessings,
Betsy
